Marchesa Fall 2012 - The collection (Part 1)

Marchesa, a well known designer brand among the Hollywood A-lists is nothing but glamour.

This super glam brand created beautiful gowns and dresses with glittery stones, french laces, satin etc... all intricate, luxury and feminine. 

Here are some gorgeous dresses which I love, including close up photos of them... Let's feast our eyes...

Earth Tones Glass Pearls with Gunmetal Chains Necklace (NK021)

As much as I love to use crystals, glass beads and semi precious stones in my jewelry,  I now started to appreciate pearls... no matter it's cultured pearls, shell pearls, mother of pearls etc..., it has a special glossy coating that no other beads has... Elegant and unique.

Always trying to modernize pearls so that it doesn't have that matronly feel... This time, I selected earth tones glass pearls and paired with  rose gold metal tubes, gunmetal & black footage chains to assembly this what I called an unsymmetrical necklace.

Beads: 
Round Glass Pearls in champagne, dark brown & bronze color,
Rose Gold metal tubes
Cords:
Black & Gunmetal oval footage chains.
Findings:
  Metal findings and hardware e.g. head pins, bead caps, lobster clasp, jump rings etc...

Mother of Pearl Flower Pendants Necklace, Bracelet & Earrings (NK,ER, BR027)

Mother of Pearls are from sea shells, there are many shapes, colors, textures and tones with a pearl glow that makes it unique.

There's a pile of Ivory color Mother of Pearl flower pendant sitting in the storage box, it's time to make them useful...

Pairing with some metal charms and connectors, I've created a 4 layers dangling necklace and a pair of matching earrings.

Ruby Crystals with Metal Dragonfly Charms & Chains Necklace (NK019)

Here are some beautiful Ruby Crystal beads in faceted coin shapes... 

paired with all white metal charms,chains and findings so that the ruby crystal beads can be the center of attraction of this necklace.

Bottega Veneta is one of the leading luxury fashion brand in the world, famous of  it's  signature leather weaving technique in their leather goods... nowadays their fashion and jewelry lines had also made headlines with their unique designs and craftsmanship.

Glass Pearls with Gunmetal Chains Necklace & Earrings (NK,ER015)

Pearls are elegant and classy, but sometimes they may made us appear matronly if we style or wear them with a wrong outfit or choices a certain  design of the pearl jewelry.  There are many different types of pearls regardless of their value e.g.  plastic pearls, glass pearls, cultured pearls, mother of pearls, shell pearls etc... which may comes in different shapes and sizes.  It has a unique shine that is totally different from any other surface...As my favorite fashion icon Coco Chanel loved to match her outfits with pearls jewelry and accessories.

I always love to use pearls in my jewelry designs, mix and match them with "rougher" looking beads or other material to modernize them.  Here I like share this set of fashion jewelry that I handmade using rounded glass pearls with gunmetal chains and findings:

Beads:

Off White Glass Pearls in (4,6,8,10 & 12mm)

Cords:

Gunmetal footage chains in 2 different sizes

Findings and Finishing:

Gunmetal findings and finished with gunmetal lobster clasp.

Work in Progress:

With pin technique, I arranged glass pearls randomly, mixing different sizes together.

Beige Agate Pendant with Gold, gray n clear tones beads Necklace

I am sure every girl has her own collection of pendants.  I have several pieces of various types of semi precious stone pendants that I normally wear with just tying it with a leather cord.
I'm gonna give this beautiful semi transparent beige agate pendant a little twist..

Beads:

Beige agate pendant, Bicone shaped gold, gray and clear tones glass beads,  Gold glass pearls & Rose gold metal tube beads,

Cords:

Tigers tail, gunmetal footage chains.

Findings & Finishing:

Metal findings with lobster clasp

Work in progress:

I started weaving at the center, after attaching the pendant with gunmetal chains then work my way to the sides and finished with fold over crimps.  when the necklace is done, I wrap the pendant with gunmetal chains to add more character to this light color semi transparent semi precious stone.

 Egyptian born Issac Minevitz is founder and designer of an exquisite jewelry brand 

Ben Amun (Named under his eldest son Ben and the king of Egypt.)  His creations are magnificent and has been a top brand in the fashion world since 30 years ago in Manhattan, focusing on the sculptural aspects of design wherein symmetry and proportion are key.  He love to use pewter,  beads, crystals, Czech glass, antique silvers and unusual materials in his designs.

Apart from being a favorite brand by the A list even the famous Jacky Kennedy,
